Criss eyes Liverpool office scheme
Tony Criss's Derwent Lodge Properties is planning a 100,000 sq ft office building and a new square in the Moorfields business district of Liverpool city centre.
Criss has signed a development agreement with Liverpool Vision and the North West Development Agency to demolish and redevelop Cross Keys House, a former Yates's pub owned by the NWDA, along with an adjacent surface car park and redundant warehouse both owned by Derwent.
The agreement compels Derwent to undertake site investigations, detailed design work, achieve planning consent and market the space to occupiers.
An architectural competition is ongoing and the winning architect is due to be announced shortly. A planning application is expected by the end of the year.
Talks are ongoing outside the agreement to include Derwent's nearby office block Churchill House in the scheme but no decision has yet been taken.
