Contractors for tunnel linings work in Warrington required

United Utilites Water has published a tender for a £4m tunnel linings construction contract in Warrington.

The contract is currently planned for a four-week period in October, with an option to award an extension contract to the successful contractor to undertake additional works in 2010.

In the event work cannot be completed in 2009 or additional faults are found, work would then be carried out in October 2010.

Thirlemere Aqueduct is part of United Utilities water supply network and can only be taken out of service for limited periods to enable maintenance or refurbishment work to be undertaken.

The scope of work will be described in the invitation to tender. Deadline for submission of interest is Friday 6 March.
