Contractor starts on next phase of Mere Grange

Caddick Construction has won a £1.5m design-and-build contract to deliver further commercial development in St Helens on behalf of Network Space.

The 20,000 sq ft industrial unit is the third phase Caddick is building for Network Space at Mere Grange.

The first £7m speculative scheme provided 90,500 sq ft of industrial space across four units, followed by the construction of a 51,800 sq ft unit, which Network Space pre-let to laundry firm Synergy LMS.

Work is due to start this month, with completion expected before the end of the year.

Mere Grange sits next to the St Helens Linkway. Once complete the development will have delivered 162,000 sq ft of commercial premises.

The scheme is being developed in association with Homes England, St Helens Council and Liverpool City Region Combined Regional Authority.

CBRE and B8 are acting as joint agents for Network Space on the Mere Grange development and WCP Associates are part of the professional team. The architect is DLA, and the structural engineer is WYG.
