Contractor named for Ropewalks resi

Liverpool building firm Crossfield Construction has been appointed to deliver the £4m Chavasse Building, a 47-apartment scheme in the city’s Ropewalks area, which has now secured planning approval.

The build phase is expected to take around 12 months, said developer Living Brick, which is working with a design team comprising Day Architectural and Shape Engineering.

Situated at the corner of Lydia Ann Street and Suffolk Street, the Chavasse Building will include a residents’ gymnasium and a Japanese-inspired rooftop garden. The apartments are divided between 20 ‘micro’ apartments of around 365 sq ft, 18 one bedroom apartments averaging 538 sq ft and two-bedroom flats of around 800 sq ft.
