Consent for Didsbury housing
Paul Butler Associates has secured planning consent on behalf of Median Homes to build four houses in Didsbury, south Manchester.
The four detached houses, designed by Stockport-based architects Cartwright & Gross, will be built in the extensive grounds of The Rookery, a large 19th Century house on Palatine Road. The existing house will be retained.
Each of the new houses will have four or five bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, two living rooms, a double garage and front and rear gardens. The proposals include solar photovoltaic roof panels and rainwater harvesting.
Tom Flanagan, director at Salford-based Paul Butler Associates, said: "We have worked closely with Manchester City Council, West Didsbury Residents Association and local people to create a well-designed and sustainable scheme that fits well with its surroundings. The new houses will provide much needed larger homes for families in this part of South Manchester."
