BOOK NOW | Transport + Infrastructure

As transport bosses grapple with reduced capacity and navigate the safe reopening of towns and cities to shoppers, restaurants goers and commuters, join Place North West to debate these challenges and more.

Transport for the North and Merseyrail will be among the organisations sharing their planned investment and offering views on policies shaping the region’s networks.

Salford City Council will explain how transport is central to its recently launched new vision for the city and will underpin the city’s economic future.

Transport + Infrastructure is due to take place online on Friday 21 May 2021.

Speakers confirmed so far:

Tom Stannard, chief executive, Salford City Council, joined in February to help lead the new vision for the borough, which gained plaudits for its low traffic neghbourhoods during lockdown

Tim Foster, interim strategy and programme director, Transport for the North, updating on on Northern Powerhouse Rail and the strategic transport plan for the North

Emma Cowan, finance and transformation director, Merseyrail, the busy local rail network carried 100,000 people on an average weekday pre-Covid. What is its strategy as we see restrictions ease and people reconsider their relationship with public transport?

Further speakers will be announced soon.

Transport + Infrastructure is sponsored by Waterman Group and BECG.
