Malik Azhar Hussain is the EMEA sustainability & building energy technology lead at Amazon | With nearly five years at Amazon, Hussain has progressed from senior construction manager in Amazon Logistic Design and Construction to his current senior leadership role overseeing sustainability retrofits, energy optimization, and HVAC/BMS reliability across 11 countries and 400+ facilities spanning all parts of Amazon’s operations.
Kate Howe is a development director at Tritax Big Box Development | Howe is an experienced development director with 20 years of property experience. She joined Tritax in 2022 as a director based in the Manchester office. She has a broad range of development experience, having delivered residential, industrial, and mixed-use development projects across the UK. Howe is currently leading on the delivery of over 3m sq ft of space across the North West.
Alan Lamb is a director at AEW | With 30 years industry experience, Lamb predominantly works in the industrial sector and has extensive experience in master planning, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, R&D and energy projects – leading a team of specialist architects and technicians from project inception to completion.
Fiona Lomas-Holt is a director and head of sustainability and ESG at Turley | Lomas-Holt has 12 years of experience within sustainability consultancy, with expertise on net zero carbon buildings and building accreditation. She has led the sustainability strategy for major logistics schemes including Northern Gateway in Greater Manchester and leads the net zero strategies for several industrial and logistics developers across the UK.
Chris Lloyd is an investment director at Tandem Investments | Lloyd co-founded Tandem Investments in 2023 investing in industrial and business space predominantly in the North West. He has over 25 years experience of buying and selling commercial real estate with a particular focus on refurbishing & repurposing industrial buildings & estates. Tandem’s portfolio includes an 80,000 sq ft estate in St Helen’s, four industrial estates in Barnsley totalling 250,000 sq ft and the recent acquisition of a 46,000 sq ft industrial estate in Chorley.
Rob Haslam is the head of planning at Harworth Group | Haslam specialises in delivering commercially viable schemes, shaping and influencing strategy at regional and local levels and providing comprehensive in-house expertise on all aspects of the planning process for Harworth’s major projects in the North West. Live projects include the delivery of the 6.5m sq ft employment scheme at Northern Gateway in Rochdale and Bury, delivered as part of a Joint Venture with Russells; 1.1m sq ft at Wingates, Bolton and 1.2 m sq ft at Chatterley Park, Staffordshire.
Alice Routledge is a partner at Asteer Planning | Routledge is co-owner of Asteer Planning, an independent and commercial town planning consultancy founded in April 2021. Prior to that, she spent eight years in multi-disciplinary property consultancies including Knight Frank and Avison Young. She is a passionate, motivated and commercially astute planning consultant with significant experience in preparing major and complex planning applications for a range of uses including major industrial and logistics development, town centre regeneration schemes, housing care, and office developments.
Lewis Rapley is a logistics research associate at Savills | Rapley delivers market intelligence and strategic insight for the UK industrial and logistics property sector. He supports agency teams and investors through data-driven analysis and forecasting. His earlier work covering industrial and office markets across EMEA gave him strong knowledge of cross-border trends, occupier behaviour, and investment flows.
James Scott is the director of ESG at Glencar | With over 20 years’ experience in the built environment, Scott has held senior sustainability, environmental and community leadership roles across global contractors and consultancy. He is responsible for driving the company’s sustainability agenda, with a focus on net zero carbon, climate change resilience, responsible procurement, circular economy principles and social value. Scott holds an MSc in Environmental Management & Sustainable Development and is passionate about supporting the construction industry’s transition to a more sustainable, resilient future.
Joe Burnett is a development director at Network Space | Burnett is responsible for securing new land, partnership opportunities and funding, and for leading projects from conception through planning, design, delivery and disposal. His current focus is on bringing forward the delivery of several high quality small to mid box MLI schemes in the North West, with a focus on high-quality buildings that meet modern occupier expectations in terms of flexibility, specification and longevity.
