Beesley expands with trade acquisition
Huyton-based builders’ merchant Beesley & Fildes has completed the purchase of Radcliffe Building Supplies in Manchester for an undisclosed sum.
Radcliffe Building Supplies became available to purchase due to the retirement of Fred Wilkinson who founded the company over 30 years ago.
Established in 1820, Beesley & Fildes is a family-owned company with eight depots across the North West and online trading. The group produced profit of £500,000 on turnover of £22m in 2014.
The new owner will refurbish the site in Radcliffe with “a substantial investment programme to offer one of the most comprehensive services to the construction and maintenance markets in the region.”
Lee Davies, managing director, Beesley & Fildes, said: “The acquisition of this site in Manchester will help in expanding operations throughout the North West.”
