Bank of England leads Place AGM line-up
The Bank of England's agent for the North West, John Young, will be among the speakers at the Place AGM state-of-the-region conference in April.
Organised by Place North West and sponsored by law firm Davis Blank Furniss, independent chartered accountants Cowgill Holloway Property & Construction and surveyor WHR Property Consultants, this is a timely opportunity to assess the prospects for the region's property market as we move into the new fiscal year.
Topics examined on the day will include raising debt finance for small and medium developments, investor sentiment and occupier supply and demand.
Place AGM is a free-to-attend half-day event and will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 11 April in the Compass Room at the top of the Lowry Centre in Salford Quays.
John Young, North West agent, Bank of England will provide an off-the-record detailed analysis of regional and national business conditions and economic forecasts according to the central bank.
Among the other speakers confirmed so far are:
- Matt Crompton, joint managing director, Muse Developments – national developer's perspective on the market
- David Rainford, property finance director, Cowgill Holloway Property & Construction – how to raise debt finance for development and investment transactions
- Dan Crossley, partner, WHR Property Consultants – where is the investment market today and where is it heading?
- Tim Heatley, director, Capital & Centric – an independent developer's view on putting new projects together

Quick note to say thanks for another really good event yesterday – enjoyed the chap from the Bank of England and the fantastic Tim Heatley presentation at the end – very impressive – keep it up Place NW
