Awards: Liverpool ONE, Seddon, Rider Levett Bucknall…

Liverpool has been shortlisted for two accolades in the Coach Tourism Awards 2013; in the Coach Friendly City of the Year category, which it won last year; and for Liverpool ONE as Coach Friendly Shopping Destination of the Year. The Coach Tourism Awards 2013 will take place at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 9 May, and are organised by trade publication Coach Monthly.

Liverpool ONE has won a British Council of Shopping Centres Opal Award in the media category for a campaign to support the Bodies Revealed exhibition, which was hosted by Liverpool ONE from 1 September 2012 to 2 January 2013. A special bio-chalk was used on paving to form a trail around Liverpool ONE that would drive visitors to the exhibition. Everyone who took a photograph of the unique street advertising to the box office received a discount on the entry price. The campaign ran for three weeks during November and December last year and brought an additional 2,658 visitors to Bodies Revealed, achieving a return-on-investment for the organiser of 20:1 in ticket sales.

Property and construction consultant Rider Levett Bucknall was named Britain's top employer for the fifth consecutive year. It took the number one spot in the mid-sized category in the list of Britain's Top Employers which is awarded by the Corporate Research Foundation in conjunction with The Guardian. The award is presented to companies demonstrating best practice in HR and scores are based on five categories; pay and benefits, training and development, career development, working conditions and company culture.

Plumlife, part of Manchester-based housing group Great Places, won the award for Best Affordable Homes Provider at the First Time Buyer Readers' Awards for its work to help people onto the property ladder. Plumlife was also commended in the category of Most Innovative Redevelopment of an Existing Property, for its shared ownership development at Alder Street in Salford.

Seddon Construction won three Considerate Constructors awards for its approach to separate projects in Liverpool, Bury and Tameside. The Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards are presented to construction teams displaying excellent standards of consideration towards their neighbours, their workforce, the general public and the environment.
