Assura hires for investment expertise

Warrington-based primary care property specialist Assura has appointed Patrick Lowther as associate director of property, joining its senior team from Savills.

Chartered surveyor Lowther has been hired to help Assura, which is a real estate investment trust, to further drive its investment strategy.

Lowther worked at Savills Investment Management for eight years, where he was focused on delivering a number of core and core plus investment strategies on behalf of domestic pension funds, and more recently overseas sovereign investors. He previously spent seven years at ING Real Estate as part of the acquisition and investment teams.

He will work closely with Assura’s property director Andrew Darke, who said: “We’re delighted to have Patrick joining us in this brand new role for the company. As our portfolio and development pipeline continue to grow at such a pace, his expertise, experience and international outlook will be integral to our long-term strategy.”
