Ask appoints Grant Thornton

The North West property team of chartered accountants Grant Thornton has been appointed by the Manchester-based developer to advise on tax and audit issues.

Ask Developments is bringing a number of schemes to market, including First Street, a mixed use development in Manchester offering 2.25m sq ft of development over the next decade including a new 50,000 sq ft building within a cultural quarter which is expected to open in summer 2014.

Karen Campbell, a tax partner at Grant Thornton's Manchester office, said: "Ask has a clear strategic vision to take the business forward and a leading role to play in the development of Manchester's built environment."

The appointment follows Grant Thornton being selected by social housing providers New Charter Housing Trust and Adacus Housing Group.
