Addleshaw Goddard signs at One St Peter’s Square
The law firm has confirmed that it will relocate its Manchester office from Barbirolli Square to One St Peter’s Square in February 2017.
Addleshaws, which has been based in Barbirolli Square for the past 18 years, will take 56,000 sq ft across two-and-a-half floors of the 13-storey building, on a 20-year lease.
The 280,000 sq ft One St Peter’s Square was completed in 2014 by a joint venture between the Greater Manchester Pension Fund and Argent. German fund Deka Immobilien is understood to be close to purchasing the building for around £130m.
Addleshaw Goddard’s rival and Barbirolli neighbour DLA Piper has already signed for 45,000 sq ft within One St Peter’s Square and will be relocating in the summer. KPMG occupies 75,000 sq ft.
Malcolm Pike, head of Addleshaw Goddard’s Manchester office, said: “One St Peter’s Square has become an iconic development in Manchester, sitting at the heart of the newly regenerated St Peter’s Square. Our move reinforces our commitment to the city, which is fast becoming a leading centre outside of London for professional services.”
