Addleshaw Goddard recruits managing associates
The firm has hired a former Health & Safety Executive prosecution lawyer, and an environment specialist from Fieldfisher to add to its expertise within the Manchester office.
The former, Darren Dunn, joins AG’s health & safety team as a managing associate. He has worked in a number of roles within charities and governments in Pakistan and Africa, and has specialist experience advising and bringing proceedings against major corporations.
His appointment aims to strengthen the team’s regulatory offering to clients who are facing investigation and prosecution from regulatory authorities such as the Police, HSE, Fire & Rescue Service and local authorities.
Meanwhile, Joanne Holbrook joins the firm’s environment team as a managing associate from Fieldfisher. Holbrook has advised on a wide range of heavily regulated industries, including energy, technology and manufacturing. She works on a broad spectrum of matters, such as environmental liabilities in real estate and corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, energy projects and formal investigations and prosecutions by environmental regulators.
Commenting on the two hires, legal directors Michelle Headrige and Erin Shoesmith, said: “The demand from clients for strategic environmental and health & safety advice both on regulatory matters in the face of large scale incidents and prosecutions and during transactions, remains unabated, and we are continuing to steadily grow as a firm in both areas. We welcome Darren and Joanne who will only strengthen our unrivalled reputation as a firm.”
