Accountancy advisor opens in Riverside

Umbrella.co.uk has taken 8,000 sq ft in Orbit Development’s Riverside Business Park in Wilmslow and has completed a fit-out of its new offices.

Umbrella specialises in providing accountancy services for contractors and freelance workers and deals with administration such as invoicing, payroll and pensions paperwork.

Following recent growth and a recruitment drive, the accountancy service provider has expanded into 8,000 sq ft at Bollin House. Umbrella was formerly based in Barons Court.

Using the outdoors as its theme, the new offices feature astroturf, hedge and grass desk dividers and display walls clad in reclaimed wood.

In order to create a fun environment for staff, other features include a break-out room with reading area, pool table and 80’s style arcade games.

Nicholas Holmes, chief executive at Umbrella.co.uk, said: “Our new, larger premises will provide the ideal foundation as we look to achieve ambitious growth plans over the coming year and beyond.

“Staff retention and motivation is key and we believe the cool, calming influence of natural wood and plants as well as the light and open plan office will help achieve this. Staying in Wilmslow was also key to our existing employees.”
