Inditex scales up at Trafford Centre with 40,000 sq ft of deals
Two of the Spanish retail conglomerate’s brands are taking an additional combined 21,000 sq ft, while Bershka has agreed terms on an 18,000 sq ft store, its first at the retail complex.
Inditex brands Zara and Pull&Bear are relocating their Trafford Centre stores into larger units on Peel Avenue.
Zara is moving from a 35,000 sq ft demise to a 48,000 sq ft shop within the former M&S unit and consolidated ground floor units previously occupied by the likes of Halifax, Lakeland, Tessuti, Post Office, Reed, Pen Shop, and Legends Memorabilia.
Likewise, Pull & Bear is relocating from a 5,700 sq ft unit to 13,500 sq ft of former M&S space.
Bershka will open its store within the former M&S store too. M&S relocated from its former 87,000 sq ft home to the 135,000 sq ft former Debenhams unit last year.
Inditex gave Bershka its North West debut at Liverpool ONE in 2021, having given a UK debut to Pull&Bear at the same complex two years earlier. The Trafford Centre outlet would be Bershka’s second in the region and eleventh nationally.
Marcus Briggs, managing director, and head of leasing at Pradera Lateral, said: “We have had a great partnership with Inditex over the years, and this exciting new deal highlights our wider commitment to support retailer growth and improve the customer experience.
“The introduction of these globally significant stores for Bershka, Pull&Bear and Zara will strengthen this relationship further and provide an unrivalled fashion offer for our growing number of Trafford Centre visitors.”
