Ridley on board at Fletcher Rae
Creative director Peter Ridley, formerly of IBI and Foster & Partners, has joined the Manchester architect, hot on the heels of ex-AHR director Daniel Lesser.
Andrew Rae, managing director, said: “Following the practice’s recent move to new larger offices at Tower 12, Spinningfields and a major restructuring of the business over recent times we are delighted to announce the arrival of two new board directors in our Manchester office.
“This will increase the active board of directors to five”.
Lesser spent 27 years with AHR, ten of which he spent as regional director. He has worked across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use. He joined Fletcher Rae in April.
Ridley, a Liverpudlian, worked at partner level alongside Sir Norman Foster in London, also heading up an office for the firm in Istanbul.
He has also worked in China, Dubai and Los Angeles and most recently was studio director for IBI Manchester. He started in his new role this month.
Rae concluded: “Dan and Peter join the business at a pivotal moment in our development and the investment we have made in new appointments, the team’s development and new premises show a major commitment to the business and the region.
“We have plans to double the size of the practice over the next three years and we hope to have more news soon”.
