Co-op relocates in Prestbury
The Co-operative Food has relocated its Prestbury village store in Cheshire to a larger 4,000 sq ft unit in a former Jaguar dealership.
Fit-out specialists Morris and Spottiswood undertook a two month refurbishment to transform the property into modern retail accommodation.
The store will include a new Post Office to service the village and wider area.
The landlords of the new unit are private individuals.
The Co-operative represented themselves and the landlords were represented by Hallams Property Consultants.
Gwynneth Smedley, The Co-operative Food's Regional Stores Director for the North West, said: "The Co-operative forms a core part of the Prestbury retail offer.
"By relocating to a larger unit we will be able to offer our customers a wider product range with greater emphasis on fresh produce as well as good customer car parking.
"At The Co-operative, we are continually looking at ways to improve our stores through new acquisitions or refurbishments and the Prestbury store is a prime example of this."
