JLL appointed to market Manchester office scheme
The office agency team at JLL in Manchester has been appointed to let 125,000 sq ft of space at Ardwick office development Universal Square, on behalf of Northern Way Property Company.
The office campus, near Piccadilly Station in Manchester, comprises five high-quality buildings with floorplates up to 16,450 sq ft available.
Universal Square was formerly the headquarters of Great Universal Stores and has undergone an extensive £11m refurbishment programme.
Universal Square is home to over 50 businesses with current tenants including IT consultancy Softcat, occupational health provider Express Medicals Ltd, PR agency Mason Williams, and clothing retailer Aspecto.
Chris Mulcahy, director of office agency at JLL, said: "With Manchester's city core and outlying areas continuing to outperform out of town locations for rental growth and take-up, Universal Square's combination of on-site amenities and its close proximity to the city centre means it is well placed to attract occupiers as the market continues to improve."
JLL are joint agents on the scheme alongside Canning O'Neill.
