Chancerygate in acquisition push

Chancerygate is on an acquisition drive with a focus on multi-let industrial estates around the M60, Warrington, Trafford Park and South Manchester, according to Manchester boss Mike Walker.

Chancerygate has officially opened its Manchester office at 9 Chapel Walk, led by development director Walker who joined from CBRE earlier this month.

The developer investor announced a £100m development push into the regions in November. With the base in Manchester, the business will focus on providing smaller warehouses for the SME market, with units of 5,000 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft available for the freehold market and a gross development value of up to £10m.

Chancerygate recently completed the 80,000 sq ft final phase of S:Park in Stockport, which provides speculative units of between 5,700 sq ft to 22,600 sq ft. The company is set to announce three deals at the park in the coming weeks, with almost half of the site already sold.

Speaking to Place North West, Walker said that Chancerygate was also in conversations with potential design and build occupiers at its 13-acre site at Dunnings Bridge Road in Liverpool.

Alongside the hunt for development and investment opportunities in the prime North West industrial areas, Walker said that Chancerygate was interested in acquiring a site in Leeds.
