Turley promotes directors
The planning and development consultancy has announced two promotions in its Manchester team.
Debbie Clutton has been promoted to associate director in the design team from her role as a senior urban designer. Clutton has been involved in large scale mixed-use schemes across the North West during her 25 years at the firm, and has recently submitted work to the GMSF.
Kerrie Melrose has been promoted to associate director. In her new role, Melrose will focus on providing specialist heritage advice on proposals that affect the historic environment. Prior to working at Turley, Melrose worked at Rochdale Council as a conservation project officer.
The news comes as Joe Piliero has been promoted to urban designer in the design team. Piliero previously worked at Stockholm-based firm Tengbom as a landscape architect.
Stephen Taylor, head of design, said: “It’s been a fantastic year for us in the design team as we continue to go from strength to strength. We’re working on numerous exciting projects across the region, ranging from town centre masterplans to garden villages.
“Our people make this possible and these promotions reflect the talent in the team. It’s great to recognise talented designers like Debbie and Joe for their contribution.”
Katy Lightbody, director of heritage and townscape, said: “As an employee-owned company, we share in our success and are committed to helping people achieve their potential. Kerrie is a key member of the heritage and townscape team and this promotion is testament to her talent.”
