Evolve plans Bold Street hotel
Urbanista Hotel, a 20-bedroom hotel on Liverpool’s Bold Street, is due to open later this summer.
Developed by Evolve Property Group, the owner of 110-112 Bold Street, the hotel is targeted at the boutique market and will be a mix of suites and double rooms, some sleeping up to six people.
The hotel will undergo a phased opening, with the first phase launching towards the end of the summer.
Urbanista is located above the former Love Thy Neighbour unit, which has recently been taken over by Graffiti Spirits Group with a new bar concept due to open later this year.
The hotel includes a dog creche and boarding, deals with the city centre’s restaurants and bars, and partnerships with Delta Taxis and Just Park.
Alex Carney, Urbanista’s marketing manager, said: “We’re really excited for the opening of Urbanista. It’s right in the heart of the Ropewalks area, a place renowned with locals and tourists. The hotel will be overlooking Bold Street, and is a much-needed addition to the area – we can’t wait to welcome our guests to stay with us.
“The interior of Urbanista is going to really contemporary and classy. We’re aiming to keep it sleek and want our guests to feel comfortable in luxurious surroundings.”
It is all good knowing there will be no box cabins on the roof. A cheap trick Liverpool is in danger of becoming known for.

Mike……grow up. Developments and advancement is good for all, be it, L’pool; manch; or any other place. The ‘failure’ of the NORTH,…. as all those southern Jessies know, is divide and concur! Dont fall into their trap! It might be right, it might be wrong, but dont feed them. They feel the same way about Manchester as they do about Liverpool.

Would be great to see Bold Street get back towards its past as one of the city centre’s great areas. There used to be an active traders association that did great work in the area.

Anon is right. This divide and conquer has been happening for decades from Westminster and we need to stop scratching each others eyes out in the North West/North and also the West Midlands, which is equally despised by the Home Counties mafia which run governments of all colours.Scotland has seen the light. The pathetic levels of infrastructure investment for our huge populations are announced like we have won some major prize. They talk about 200 millions pounds like it is a lot of money and then announce 20 billion for another project in the capital. The chaos these London politicians have caused up here, egged on by our own useless representatives, is all around us., particularly regarding transport. Of course if you complain, ” You have a chip on your shoulder.”

There is no divide and conquer. It is a case of one city getting cosy with the government and getting a massive slice of the cake at the expense of its neighbours. Simple really.

If we’re talking cake the whole of Liverpool’s waterfront is basically one huge, rich, government gourmet gateaux and not just a slice but the whole cake which brings in billions of pounds of tourist money, jobs and investment right into the heart of Liverpool.

All of the 3 graces were built by private enterprise, the worlds first enclosed dock which created the greater dock estate through it’s inventiveness and revenue was established by the old city council mortgaging itself with a very high debt, not mentioning the older warehouses and etc. If your talking about Funding etc, then most of it came from Objective 1 because of the changing trading patterns associated with Europe, as the tide changes so recently the trade is now returning to the Mersey. So what is your point, are you saying that Liverpool is the only place to ever receive favours from the Government? What part of paradise do you live in and I assume that it has never benefitted from central funding? Let him/her cast the first stone etc…
