Network Space outlines Alchemy extension plans

Network Space has submitted a planning application to Knowsley Council for 270,000 sq ft of additional warehouse units and offices on a 20-acre plot next to its Alchemy Industrial Estate.

The developer is seeking outline consent for up to 176,000 sq ft of employment and distribution units, and a further 101,150 sq ft of employment space with landscaping and infrastructure.

The layout of the units on the site is being kept flexible at this stage, with warehouses having the potential to range from 100,000 sq ft to 9,000 sq ft.

The land forms part of the remaining undeveloped plots of the Alchemy Industrial Estate owned by Network Space, originally granted outline planning permission in 2002, which has now lapsed.

Spawforths is the planner, DLA Design is the architect.

Network Space was formerly Langtree Group, and is led by Bill Ainscough.
