Clitheroe housing plans passed
Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Homes have received reserved matters planning approval for a 37-acre housing development in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Manchester-based HOW Planning advised both house builders on the 270-unit scheme.
The planning approval allows for provision of a new community park, large areas of open space, two children's play areas and a new pedestrian and cycle path linking the development to the surrounding area. The scheme will include 81 affordable homes and land for a new primary care trust facility.
Richard Barton, associate at HOW Planning, said: "It is our clients' vision to create a high quality housing development which will attract new residents to the area. These plans will transform this prominent piece of land into an attractive and sensitively landscaped new community."
