New Manchester head for CushWake
Cushman & Wakefield has hired Ben Roberts as a partner and head of its Manchester office, replacing Mark Walsh.
Roberts joins from his own firm Torran Property Investment, a niche investment and asset management business.
He has over 20 years' experience in the North West property market, particularly in capital markets working with institutions, property companies and private investors from the UK and overseas.
In 2002 he established and ran Kenmore's Manchester office buying assets in excess of £175m across all sectors.
Walsh was appointed in May 2013 as an interim head of the Manchester office replacing Tony Bray, who departed in November 2012. It was unclear as to whether Walsh would be remaining with the company.
Digby Flower, chief executive of Cushman & Wakefield said: "Ben has an exceptional track record in the North West and brings the skills, connections and experience required to spearhead the growth of our business in the region."
Walsh could not be contacted for comment this morning.
What track record? Can place please vet press releases before publising like jornalist lemmings.

A well chosen person for the role. Cushmans is a great opportunity that has never been truly tested in Manchester.
