70 appointed to Fusion21’s £346m Building Improvements Framework

Wates Property Services, Lovell Partnerships, and Seddon Construction are three firms to secure a place on the procurement framework.

Used by the public sector, Fusion21’s Building Improvements Framework provides a list of vetted companies that can, among other things, upgrade existing buildings by tackling damp and mould, adding insulation, or fixing up roofs.

The framework is active for four years and is worth up to £346m, according to Fusion21.

It has also expanded its remit from years previous. Fusion21 executive director of operations Peter Francis explained: “In response to member and supply chain feedback and in line with the proposed updates to the Decent Homes Standard, the renewed framework now covers even more aspects of building improvement.

“It is set up to help tackle problems such as damp and mould as well as issues with major components like roofs, windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms, hard and soft landscaping and aids and adaptations,” he continued.

“In addition to working with a team of technical procurement experts, Fusion21 members accessing this offer will benefit from a compliant and efficient route to market, flexible call-off options and geographical coverage across the UK, down to a regional and local level”.

Of the 70 companies to land a spot on the framework, 74% are SMEs.
