Your Housing puts out asbestos tender call

Your Housing Group is to refresh its framework for asbestos removal contractors, planning to spend up to £900,000 a year over three years.

The framework will be broken down into four lots by geography; for Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire; Greater Manchester; Merseyside; and Cheshire and Warrington.

Annual budgets range from £113,000 to £360,000 across the separate lots. Suppliers will have to be of sufficient size to handle the contracts without putting their business at financial risk, with minimum turnover starting at £325,000 in Cheshire and Warrington and rising to £900,000 for the approved contractors in Manchester and Liverpool.

The proposed contract will start in January 2014 and could be extended by a further six years.

Your Housing Group was formed in April 2012 by the merger of Harvest Housing Group and Arena Housing Group. The group owns 32,000 properties across the North West, Yorkshire and Midlands.
