Wetherspoons follows New Brighton wave

JD Wetherspoons has acquired the former RJ's and The Playas Lounge in New Brighton near to Neptune Developments' Marine Point mixed-use development.
The pub chain will occupy the 12,200 sq ft premises at a rent of £55,000 a year on a 30-year lease.
JD Wetherspoons will refurbish the property, which sits in the centre of a parade of two other pubs, and hopes to open later in 2012.
Kenney Moore Commercial Property Consultants advised the landlord, a private investor. Mason Owen represented JD Wetherspoons.
