Welcome to King Street Commercial
Ted Murray and Darren Moorhouse have joined forces to form a new company, called King Street Commercial.
Based on South King Street in Manchester city centre, the consultancy will provide investment, retail and leisure agency advice.
Moorhouse is a former equity partner at Cheetham & Mortimer and a principal founder of SY Moorhouse Wright, which was sold to Savills in 2006. He established his own company, DCLM Commercial Property a year ago. During his 25-year career he has worked with clients including Legal & General, Scottish Widows, Hammerson, Oddbins and Marstons.
Murray previously worked for Berkeley Brown for eight years before leaving to head up his own company, KYT Property. He is a non-executive director of the Cheshire-based Hollins Murray Group, a commercial property investor and developer. Murray has 15 years' experience in the industry.
Murray said: "Having worked alongside Darren on a number of specialised projects, it became clear that our skill sets were highly complementary. Amalgamating our businesses to offer a more comprehensive service to a wider selection of clients was an obvious step forward. We have recently enjoyed individual success operating in a difficult market and with the economy and sentiment improving, forming a solid partnership will enable us to capitalise on this change."
The company has also taken on Matthew Cox as a senior surveyor; he previously worked at KYT Property.
