VIDEO | Inside London’s greenest warehouse

Designed to be carbon negative, SEGRO Park Tottenham is the most sustainable warehouse the developer has built to date.

Totalling 200,000 sq ft across eight units, the development has achieved a BREEAM rating of 94.9%, the highest score SEGRO is aware of for a warehouse in London.

Nearly 2,000 solar panels provide sustainable electricity, which occupiers can use at a reduced rate. Tenants also have the option of installing more.

Early estimates from SEGRO suggest the design could achieve energy savings of around 15%, though this will vary for each unit and customer depending on how they use the space.

This also means that while the base build is designed to be carbon negative – meaning it generates more zero-carbon electricity than it consumes – operational sustainability depends on the choices occupiers make.
