Starting gun fired on £15m Aintree development

Your Housing Group’s contractor Casey has begun work on a 54-home project off Heysham Road, supposed by Homes England.

Billed as The Stables, YHG’s scheme will see the development of 20 shared ownership properties and 34 homes for social rent. The Stables will offer a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Homes England’s Affordable Homes Programme 2026-2028 is supporting the development, with YHG applying on a scheme-by-scheme basis for backing from the programme.

“Developments like this play an important role in addressing local housing need, providing a range of options for people at different stages of life, from social rent to shared ownership.

A registered social landlord, YHG owns and manages more than 29,000 properties across the North, offering homes for social and affordable rent, shared ownership, outright sale and private rent.
