Spinningfields signs up designer retail brands
Allied London's Spinningfields has signed a number of retail brands.
Armani brands Emporio Armani and Armani Collezioni will share a two-level 7,900 sq ft store.
Manchester-based chain Flannels has signed up for a new flagship 20,000 sq ft store, meaning it will relocate from its other four units in the city.
Flannels is also opening joint venture stores with designers Ermengildo Zegna and Joseph in the development, with a Prada shop inside the Flannels store.
A spokesperson at Allied said Hugo Boss, footwear brand Oliver Sweeney, and Kurt Geiger have not yet signed, but US menswear chain Brooks Brothers has taken units.
Mulberry will also leave its 1,600 sq ft Kings Street store for a 3,772 sq ft unit across two-levels.
The scheme is due to open in spring 2010.
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is also thought to have put an offer on 5,818 sq ft across two floors at the Bond building, next to One Crown Square at the scheme, for his Jamie's Italian restaurant concept.
Advanced talks over the leisure element are under way with bowling operator All Star Lanes at the Bond building, and bar and restaurant operator Living Ventures, owner of the Living Room brand, for an 8,500 sq ft bar at its Lexicon building.
Meanwhile, talks are still ongoing for a hotel operator to open a 100-bed hotel and music venue at its Gate building on Bridge Street within the scheme.
The retail letting agent at the scheme is Knight Frank.
