Ruffler leaves RIBA for Uniform
Andrew Ruffler has concluded a seven-year stint as regional director at RIBA North West, joining Liverpool design business Uniform as client director in its architectural visualisation team.
During his time at RIBA, which he joined from The Mersey Partnership in 2012, Ruffler delivered projects including Forgotten Spaces Preston and the Liveable City conference with the Danish Embassy, while he recently worked on the appointment of AHMM’s Paul Monaghan as design champion for the Liverpool city region.
Ruffler’s responsibilities at RIBA are currently being covered by other staff, while work is currently under way to build headcount, with a members’ services manager being recruited.
Ruffler said: “I am looking forward to enhancing and developing the relationships Uniform has across the property sector, both nationally and internationally.”
He will be responsible for leading architectural visualisation client relationships at Uniform and developing deeper strategic partnerships with clients, Uniform said.
Uniform’s visualisation project roster includes work on Capital & Centric’s Kampus, Carlsberg City in Copenhagen and Santiago Calatrava’s Peninsula Place in Greenwich, London for developer Knight Dragon. Along with architectural visualisation, the business includes a design and innovation arm.
The firm’s client list also includes Foster + Partners, Zaha Hadid, Delancey and Westfield, along with brands such as Amtico, Primark, Fever Tree, Mitre and Unilever.
