Royal Haskoning poaches Tam from Bingham Davis

The Liverpool office of global engineering group Royal Haskoning has appointed Por Tam from rival Bingham Davis as technical director.

Tam's work in recent years included advising on the Racecourse Retail and Business Park at Aintree, the extension and remodelling of Liverpool's Bluecoat School and the conversion of a former aircraft hangar in Speke into Littlewoods Direct's new headquarters.

Royal Haskoning opened a new regional office in Liverpool earlier this year, with plans to double its team to around 50.

David Ricketts, director of the firm's infrastructure and building group, said: "Por brings with him a vast amount of expertise in both structural and civil engineering, and an incredible local knowledge as well. His role will be critical as we expand our activities at our Liverpool office and embark on building and infrastructure projects."
