Resi change-of-use success for HB Villages
Development and infrastructure consultancy Peter Brett Associates has secured planning permission on behalf of HB Villages for the change of use and refurbishment of Quadrant House in Warrington for a supported living development.
The 13,500 sq ft scheme at Church Street will comprise 16 self-contained one bedroom apartments, ancillary office accommodation, and communal lounge area overlooking a landscaped courtyard.
Quadrant House was previously used as an ironmonger's showroom, and more recently for a range of uses including book storage and martial arts training. The building is located within the Church Street conservation area and is currently vacant.
Once complete the building will be managed by Inclusion Housing with support provided by Lifeways.
HB Villages is a specialist developer of supported living accommodation for adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Michael Gilbert, associate at PBA's Manchester office, said: "We are currently advising HB Villages on their portfolio of sites across the country, and the scheme in Warrington is an important development which will bring a prominent vacant building in a conservation area back into active residential use."
CCG Architects designed the scheme.
