Returning sponsors included Kier and Kuits Solicitors, while Utilities Connections Management Limited, Euan Kellie Property Solutions and Louvre Hotels Group sponsored for the first time.
The opening drinks reception, sponsored by Kier, took place in the Whitworth Suite, before the event moved downstairs to the ballroom for dinner.
Local band The Retrosettes welcomed guests, blending 1960s pop and Northern Soul with modern songs.
The room was filled to capacity with more than 70 tables, and guests had the opportunity for extensive networking while enjoying three-course fine dining from The Principal. Throughout the meal, guests played ‘Top Places’, a Top Trumps-style game which pitted buildings such as Beetham Tower against the Royal Liver Building. Heated debates ensued as guests argued which building really was more iconic.
After dinner, guests moved to the dancefloor as nine-piece band Forza played rap and dance classics mixed in with saxophones, electronics, and belting vocals.
Guests included people from KPMG, Colliers International, Savills, Henry Boot Construction, HOW Planning, Capital & Centric, Deloitte, Willmott Dixon, alongside experts in the proptech sector for Place’s PlaceTech table, hosted by editor Paul Unger.
A set from DJ Nic Koz, a popcorn stand, and taking turns for photos in a popular interactive ‘dream mirror’ took the night to an energetic close at 2am.
