Outdoor adventure centre approved
Stanton Andrews Architects and planning consultant De Pol Associates have won planning consent for a £1.5m outdoor adventure centre at Devil's Elbow between Read and Whalley in the southern Ribble Valley.
Developer Piccadilly Partnership will install tree-top high wire, Segway and barefoot courses within 17 acres of woodland with coach and car parking and accommodation in the adjacent meadow.
The visitor centre was designed to look like an agricultural building.
An operator for the centre has yet to be appointed.
Piccadilly Partnership hopes to start on site before summer 2013.
Devil’s Elbow? I hope the Transport Assessment was robust.
