Ophthalmologist sets sights on Peel’s Venus

Community Health & Eyecare has signed for a 5,100 sq ft unit at the developer’s 91,000 sq ft TraffordCity office building.

Owned and part-occupied by Peel Waters, the eight-storey Venus is located close to the Trafford Centre. Ophthalmologist Community Health & Eyecare has become the building’s latest tenant, joining SPIE, Capita Business Services, and Travel Counsellors.

Colliers acted for Peel on the deal. Edwards Property Consultants is the joint agent on the building.

Conor Walmsley, associate director at Colliers said: “Venus has been designed to provide a high-quality working environment in Manchester.

“In this instance, Peel Waters’ ability to diversify their usage to allow Community Health & Eyecare to operate their practice is testament to a forward-thinking property owner, a well-designed building and its excellent connectivity. We are pleased to welcome this latest tenant to Venus.”

James Whittaker, executive director at Peel Waters, added: “We’re really pleased to welcome Community Health & Eyecare to Venus at TraffordCity and we’re sure their team and patients will make full use of the excellent location, amenities and connectivity.

“We believe TraffordCity will be the preeminent retail and leisure destination in the UK and Venus is located at the centre of it, making it one of the most desirable locations for workspace in Greater Manchester.

With so much to do and experience on the doorstep, it is an excellent office choice for enhancing business culture and company wellbeing and Community Health & Eyecare will provide another useful amenity to the 17,500 workers within TraffordCity.”
