VT Nuclear moves to old De Vere HQ

Specialist engineering contractor VT Nuclear Services, acquired by VT Group from BNFL in January 2008, has taken the 28,000 sq ft Building 2100 at Daresbury Park.

Landlord Alternative Hotels vacated the building last summer following its takeover of De Vere Hotel & Leisure Group to consolidate London and Northumberland.

VT is relocating from within the BNFL offices on Daresbury Park to the three-storey building, which comes with 130 parking spaces. The new occupier signed a 15-year lease with a ten-year break. Quoting prices are £16/sq ft. Daresbury Park is alongside Junction 11 of the M56.

VT Group began as the shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft and now provides aerospace, defence and rail engineering services as well as nuclear. The group employs 14,000 people and has a £1bn turnover.

Edward Symmons advised Alternative Hotels. Vail Williams acted for VT Group.
