Urban Vision to secure Salford NHS LIFT sites

Urban Vision's facilities management team has agreed a contract to provide manned guarding, key holding and CCTV services for the first community health centres under Salford's 'Gateway' NHS LIFT initiative.

Under the new £250,000, two-year agreement, Urban Vision will deliver 24-hour security for the first three centres in Walkden, Eccles and Pendleton, which alongside GP, dental and other primary health services, will provide improved community facilities, including libraries and 'one-stop' council services.

Alongside Salford City Council, partners in Salford's Gateway project include Salford Primary Care NHS Trust and MaST LIFTCo, a partnership between Primary Plus, Manchester, Salford and Trafford Primary Care Trusts and Community Health Partnerships.

Urban Vision's new contract, awarded by Salford City Council under a Gateway-specific Service Level Agreement, joins its other security remit for the council, which covers all of its corporate buildings and properties.

Urban Vision is a joint venture company between Salford City Council, Capita Symonds and Morrison Highways Maintenance.
