Sweett hires from Co-op

Sweett Group, the professional services provider for building and infrastructure projects, has appointed Chris Dunne to head up its project management commercial division in the North of England.

The role, reporting to Rob Sale, senior director of Europe, includes identifying new project management opportunities to capitalise on market growth in the North.

Dunne will be based in Sweett's Manchester office. He has more than 17 years' experience in construction project management with a demonstrable delivery track record on major complex projects between £30m and £150m.

Dunne was previously senior capital projects manager at The Co-operative Group, with responsibility for the delivery of its UK capital projects across corporate offices, logistics sites and data centres. He was the construction manager for the NOMA development team, the Co-operative's £800m mixed-use development on the northern fringe of Manchester's city centre.

Rob Sale, senior director of Sweett Group said: "Chris is an asset to the team and has the necessary skills and expertise to drive new project management initiatives. He has an excellent track record in delivering large complex commercial developments which will complement our growing presence in the North. Chris has already been instrumental in securing our project management role on two new offices for NOMA."
