Surveyor returns to Keppie Massie

Property consultancy Keppie Massie has welcomed back Simon Layland as senior surveyor within its regeneration and strategic development team in Liverpool.

Layland left Keppie Massie in May 2013 to join Deloitte Real Estate in London where he was responsible for servicing economic viability and compulsory purchase order instructions.

His role within Keppie Massie will include all aspects of development economics including the preparation of viability assessments to inform decisions regarding S106 contributions for new planning applications, together with applications for modification and appeals.

In addition, Layland will be responsible for the preparation of area-wide viability assessments to inform local plan preparation and the preparation of community infrastructure levy charging schedules.

Ged Massie, partner of Keppie Massie said: "The assessment of development viability is a specialist area and Simon's knowledge and aptitude will assist in both servicing existing and growing the number of new instructions across the country on behalf of local authorities and developers."

Keppie Massie employs 36 people with offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and London.
