Solar panel suppliers appointed in Halton

Halton Council has appointed several firms to supply solar photovoltaic panels on houses throughout the borough.
The four-year contracts, worth a total of £1.2m, involve identifying suitable roofs, determining the relevant size of PV array for each roof and then supplying, installing, commissioning and maintaining the PV systems for 25 years.
The winning contractors were Solar Century Holdings of London and Regeneco Services in Hinckley.
Halton scored the bids with a weighting of 60 % for price and 40% for quality.
