Ship canal service seeks bus operators

A contract is being offered for bus operators prepared to provide a service to passengers using Manchester Ship Canal leisure cruises run by Mersey Ferries.

The service is required to carry passengers between Pier Head, Liverpool, Seacombe, Wirral, and Salford on behalf of Merseytravel.

The services are to be supplied inclusive of a support guide service and ground handling capacity, with the potential for drivers of vehicles to act as the complete resource requirement.

The contract duration is for three years with an optional two years at the discretion of Merseytravel.

Operators must be able to meet the needs of mobility impaired passenger access and have experience in providing such services in a leisure based environment
