Segro lets Rochdale warehouse to distribution firm

Segro has reported a new letting deal at Heywood Distribution Park.

Dart Group-owned Fowler Welch Coolchain has occupied the 101,000 sq ft B9 warehouse unit on a 12-month lease, in a deal that was turned around in just 10 days.

The company warehouses, consolidates and distributes fresh produce, and chilled and frozen food products.

Jane Leedham, senior surveyor at Heywood Distribution Park, said: "The Heywood Distribution Park team has adapted to the current market well and the deals that have been signed over the past 12 months are testament to this. The short term flexible leases that Segro offer have proved to be a popular draw for companies looking for a quick fix solution, that will still give them quality space and a fantastic location."

Lincolnshire-based Fowler Welch Coolchain also has a site in Stockport.

King Sturge and Savills are joint agents on Heywood Distribution Park.
