Secondary warehouse changes hands in distressed sale

The 5,000 sq ft former Harling & Watson glazing premises at 416 Ashton Old Road in north east Manchester has been sold to Chinese private buyers for £245,000.

Andrew Frazer of selling agents Scott Frazer, acting for Harling & Watson's liquidator, said: "Small deals like this show there are signs of life in the secondary commercial sector, owner occupiers with funds are taking advantage of opportunities in the market."

The new owners plan to use the premises for asembling catering equipment for the Chinese takeaway industry.

Frazer was appointed by liquidators to dispose of the property on behalf of the lender on the property.
