SAS Daniels hires Chester solicitor

The law firm has appointed Alan Newall as commercial property solicitor in its Chester office.

Newall joined from Joliffe & Co, where he has worked since 2001. He has managed extensive property portfolios, including acquisitions, disposals, granting and acquiring of leases and general commercial agreements. He also worked in house for Ocean Group and Littlewoods Organisation.

Newall’s appointment will see the Chester property team expand to four and the firm’s overall property team increase to 28.

The property team in Chester includes lawyers Andrew Clark, James Goddard and Lois Hart, and is supported by specialist property litigator Ray Woodward who is part of the dispute resolution team.

Andrew Clark, partner, said: “We’re currently seeing strong growth across the company and the service areas we specialise in. Our property team has achieved 85% growth in just two years and we’re seeing a continuing strong demand from our clients. Alan will bring a wealth of experience to bolster the team and provide hands on legal advice for clients.”

The appointment follows the firm’s recent creation of a construction and engineering team headed up by Roger Allsup.
