Sanderson Weatherall to manage GMPF portfolio

The Greater Manchester Pension Fund has appointed Sanderson Weatherall on a five-year contract to manage its 1m sq ft commercial property portfolio.

The GMPF is the fund for the area's ten local authorities and is managed by Tameside council. The portfolio produces an annual rent roll of £4.6m and is made up of a shopping centre, offices and an industrial estate across the North West.

GVA Grimley said the appointment was unrelated to its contract to manage the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund, part of GMPF, which has £150m to spend on new developments, including the Elisabeth House office scheme on St Peter's Square in Manchester city centre.
