Run Services wins extra school work

The Liverpool and Salford-based regeneration firm has been sub-contracted by GB Building Solutions to redevelop Lily Lane Primary School in Moston, Greater Manchester.

The 18-week contract is worth £300,000 and involves extending a current nursery building with the construction of two extra classrooms.

Nigel Ward, technical manager at Run Services, said: "We are building two extra classrooms complete with modern facilities to create further space for the children. Building work on schools is a key growth area for us and we have recently completed several successful school projects and we are really pleased to add this scheme to our portfolio."

Run Services has previously been sub-contracted by GB Building Solutions, a privately-owned building contractor based in Surrey, to carry out refurbishment work at Abraham Moss Learning Centre in Crumpsall.

Manchester City Council appointed GB Building Solutions as the main contractor on the £17.5m rebuild and refurbishment of the Crumpsall-based school, which is due for total completion by summer 2012.
