RSK swoops to bolster transport division
The rapidly growing multidisciplinary practice has acquired Manchester-based consultancy SCP, taking the number of businesses it owns to 120.
SCP, founded in 1991, will retain its brand and its directors, with David Roberts, Jim Budd, Steven Carmody and David Young staying on.
“SCP is a brand that we are proud to have established over 30 years, and maintaining that brand shows the great faith that RSK has in our team and the successes that have been achieved so far,” said Roberts.
“We have a combined desire to grow the business further and the commitment to retain the existing SCP leadership and work together as part of the wider RSK business is a combination that provides a future that we very much look forward to.”
SCP company employs 45 people across offices in Manchester, Leeds and London. Its current projects include Primus Property Group’s 165-home scheme in Salford and Redrow’s 550-home Daresbury development.
The purchase of SCP is RSK’s first in 2022 and 26th in this financial year. The company’s acquisition spree is being funded through a £315m debt financing package from investor Ares Capital Europe.

Since 2020, RSK has bought companies including RoC Consulting, Western Project Services, Hi-Line Contractors, Stephenson Halliday and Centara, among others.
